As some of you know, I learned to draw using the grid method. My art teacher all through elementary and high school was one of Lee Hammond's first students and a dear friend of her's and she taught us using Lee's methods. I have also had the opportunity to take some classes with Lee over the last couple years and she is a wonderful artist with or without the grid/projector. In my art classes, we started learning the grid method in 3rd grade, drawing portraits using pictures torn from magazines or a family picture we brought in.
